Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
- In another bowl, cream butter and brown sugar, then beat in eggs, vanilla, and applesauce.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients, divide into liners, and bake for 20–22 minutes.
- Make crumble topping by mixing butter, flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon; bake separately until crisp.
- Prepare cinnamon cream cheese frosting and pipe onto cooled cupcakes.
- Sprinkle with crumble and spoon apple pie filling on top for a bakery-style finish.
