Description

This delicious chickpea tahini dip is perfect as a spread or a dip, loaded with flavor and easy to make.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can chickpeas
  • 1/3 cup tahini
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 to 4 tablespoons cold water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Optional garnishes (paprika, parsley, olive oil, pine nuts)

Instructions

  1. Drain and rinse chickpeas thoroughly.
  2. Blend lemon juice and garlic in a food processor, let sit for 2 minutes.
  3. Add tahini and blend until smooth and fluffy.
  4. Add chickpeas and salt, blend until thick and somewhat smooth.
  5. Drizzle in cold water and olive oil while blending to reach creamy consistency.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.
  7. Serve in a bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and garnish as desired.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, you can remove the skins from the chickpeas before blending.
