Description

A hearty and creamy chicken and broccoli casserole topped with cheddar cheese.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 2 cups cooked broccoli (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (or mushroom for a vegetarian option)
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup additional cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure even baking.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked chicken, cooked broccoli, cooked rice, 1 ½ cups of cheddar cheese, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Stir everything until well mixed.
  3. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  4. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of cheddar cheese on top of the casserole.
  5. Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and golden on top.
