Description

Buttery oat crumble layered with tender apples and drizzled in golden caramel.


Ingredients

  • 3 large apples (peeled, thinly sliced)
  • 1 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8 baking dish with parchment.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and melted butter until crumbly.
  3. Press half the oat mixture firmly into the bottom of the baking dish for the crust.
  4. Layer the thin apple slices evenly over the crust.
  5. Sprinkle remaining oat mixture on top, pressing lightly.
  6. Bake for 40–45 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  7. Cool slightly, drizzle with caramel sauce, cut into bars, and serve warm.
