Description

Fluffy golden cheese puffs shaped like spooky little ghosts with chocolate-chip eyes, perfect for Halloween.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • Chocolate chips (for eyes and mouth)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter with milk, then whisk in flour until smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in shredded cheese.
  4. Transfer mixture into a piping bag and pipe ghost shapes onto the baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20–22 minutes until golden and puffed.
  6. Press in chocolate chips while still warm to make eyes and mouths.
  7. Let cool slightly before serving these cheesy little ghouls.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add some jalapeños to the cheese mixture.
  • These puffs are best served warm.
