Description

A creamy and delicious chocolate rice pudding perfect for dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ⅛ teaspoon salt
  • ½ tablespoon cocoa powder
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract (or ½ teaspoon of crème de cacao)
  • 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Add the rice, milk, sugar, and salt to a 1-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the rice is tender and the mixture thickens, about 20 minutes.
  2. Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the cocoa powder and vanilla.
  3. Add the chocolate chips and stir until fully melted and smooth.
  4. Transfer to a bowl, let cool for 10 minutes, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, consider using crème de cacao instead of vanilla extract.
