Ingredients
- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 lb)
- 8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (divided)
- 4 cloves fresh garlic (minced)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water. Add pasta and cook until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, then cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
Create the Flavor Base: In the same skillet, add remaining butter and minced garlic; sauté until fragrant.
Make the Sauce: Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add Italian seasoning and Parmesan cheese until melted.
Combine: Return chicken to skillet along with cooked pasta; toss gently to coat in sauce.
Serve: Plate the pasta, garnish with parsley, and enjoy immediately.
