Description

Tender chicken simmered in a rich spiced tomato-cream sauce, served with fluffy rice and warm naan.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast or thighs (cubed)
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp ginger (grated)
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional for heat)
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • Fresh cilantro (for garnish)
  • Basmati rice & naan (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat and sauté onion, garlic, and ginger until fragrant.
  2. Stir in garam masala, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and chili powder; cook 1 minute.
  3. Add tomato puree and simmer for 10 minutes to thicken.
  4. Stir in cream and 1 tbsp butter for richness.
  5. Add chicken cubes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer until fully cooked (12–15 minutes).
  6. Serve hot with basmati rice and naan on the side.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro.

Notes

  • Adjust chili powder according to your heat preference.
  • For a thicker sauce, simmer longer after adding the cream.
  • Fresh cilantro adds a nice flavor and color to the dish.
