Description
Juicy, golden-seared chicken thighs simmered in a rich garlic herb cream sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 tsp dried thyme (or fresh)
- 1 tsp parsley
- Salt & black pepper to taste
- Juice of ½ lemon
Instructions
- Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, then sear skin-side down in olive oil until golden. Flip and sear the other side, then remove.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping browned bits.
- Stir in cream, Parmesan, thyme, parsley, and lemon juice; whisk until smooth.
- Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
- Simmer on stovetop for 20 minutes, or transfer to oven at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
- Garnish with parsley and serve hot with bread, pasta, or rice.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use fresh herbs instead of dried.
- Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- This dish pairs well with a side of vegetables or a fresh salad.
