Description

Juicy, golden-seared chicken thighs simmered in a rich garlic herb cream sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried thyme (or fresh)
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • Salt & black pepper to taste
  • Juice of ½ lemon

Instructions

  1. Pat chicken dry, season with salt and pepper, then sear skin-side down in olive oil until golden. Flip and sear the other side, then remove.
  2. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
  3. Deglaze with chicken broth, scraping browned bits.
  4. Stir in cream, Parmesan, thyme, parsley, and lemon juice; whisk until smooth.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top.
  6. Simmer on stovetop for 20 minutes, or transfer to oven at 375°F for 15–20 minutes until chicken is fully cooked.
  7. Garnish with parsley and serve hot with bread, pasta, or rice.

  • For a richer flavor, use fresh herbs instead of dried.
  • Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
