Description

Delicious salmon fillets cooked in a creamy garlic sauce with lemon and capers.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 34 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
  • for garnish fresh parsley
  • optional: lemon slices for serving

Instructions

  1. Lightly season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  3. Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any bits from the bottom of the pan.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and capers, mixing well. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Add the cooked salmon back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them.
  8. Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for added flavor and freshness.
  9. Let the salmon sit in the sauce for a minute before serving.
