Description
Delicious salmon fillets cooked in a creamy garlic sauce with lemon and capers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (approximately 6 oz each)
- to taste salt and black pepper
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 lemon
- 2 tablespoons capers, rinsed
- for garnish fresh parsley
- optional: lemon slices for serving
Instructions
- Lightly season both sides of the salmon fillets with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets in the skillet, skin-side down, and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden-brown and cooked through. Remove the salmon from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer, scraping any bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Stir in the heavy cream, lemon zest, lemon juice, and capers, mixing well. Let it cook for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Add the cooked salmon back to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the fillets to coat them.
- Sprinkle fresh parsley over the top for added flavor and freshness.
- Let the salmon sit in the sauce for a minute before serving.
Notes
- This dish pairs well with lemon slices for added flavor.
