Golden fried chicken bites glazed in sweet heat, served alongside rich and cheesy macaroni.
Ingredients

- 2 cups elbow macaroni (cooked)
- 2 chicken breasts (cubed)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup honey hot sauce glaze (honey + hot sauce mix)
- 1/2 cup flour (for coating)
- 1 egg (for dredging)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 cup milk
- 1 tbsp flour (for roux)
- 1/4 cup crispy fried onions (for topping)
- Fresh chives (for garnish)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Coat chicken pieces in flour, egg, then breadcrumbs. Fry until golden and crispy. Toss in honey-hot glaze.
- For mac & cheese, melt butter in a pan, whisk in flour to form a roux, then slowly add milk.
- Stir in shredded cheddar, whisking until creamy and smooth.
- Add cooked macaroni, season with salt and pepper, and stir to coat.
- Transfer mac & cheese to a serving bowl and top with crispy fried onions.
- Arrange honey hot chicken bites on the side.
- Garnish both with fresh chives and serve hot.
Notes
- Adjust the level of hot sauce in the glaze to suit your spice preference.
- For extra creaminess, add more cheese to the mac & cheese.
- Leftover chicken can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
