Description

Delicious homemade chocolate brownies that are rich and moist.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 1/4 cups brown sugar
  • 1 cup salted butter (2 sticks)
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 cups Dutch process cocoa
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 cups dark chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Combine the butter and sugars in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl and microwave for 3 minutes, stirring halfway through until bubbly.
  3. Beat the butter and sugar mixture for 3 minutes on medium-high speed.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add the vanilla and beat for 2 minutes.
  5. Pour the cocoa and flour on top of the wet ingredients, add baking powder and salt, and mix until well combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips and pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 43-48 minutes for metal pans or 50-55 minutes for glass. Use a toothpick to check for doneness.
  8. Allow brownies to cool before slicing.
